Custom Flash website design for Kent, Ohio cartoon character licensing company Fineline Properties.

Fineline's website was a unique project in that over 20 cartoon character groups had to be presented in a coherent fashion all on one Flash page. The site also needed to reflect a creative and fun cartoon atmosphere while still maintaing a level of professionalism for the business clients (licensing agent/agencies, manufacturers, film & television animation producers and distributors) the site targets.

The resulting Flash website incorporates minimalist cartoony boings and bounces in the individual section header titles, the navigation buttons and the character group buttons. The real challenge with this Flash website was the individual character group Flash pages. Numbering over 20, each character group in Fineline's cartoon character library has a unique look and feel that needed to be reflected in the presentation page for that group.

From pint-sized movie monsters to sports teams, from robot superheroes to cute, cuddly critters, each section demanded a style unique to itself. The challenge was painstakingly met down to the smallest details: each character section had it's own custom navigation, animated backgrounds and elements as well as the design and layout of each section reflecting the look, feel and attitude of the cartoon characters.
