Website design company Karpata Group in Cleveland, Ohio commissioned this original logo design.

The logo required the tagline 'website solutions for small businesses' to be included in the design. As Karpata Group targets small- to medium-sized busnesses, the design needed to reflect a simple and straightforward look that also emphasized the web and internet aspect of the company. The web browser 'hand' pointer was chosen for its familiarity as well as for its iconic appeal.

The hand was used in other promotional materials for Karpata as a design element to visually link all aspects of thier marketing from print to web.
