The
Devilstrip logo design pretty much designed itself, at least in
my mind. Devilstrip is the name of a local Kent, Ohio band (which
I also am a member of). The word 'devilstrip' was a word I had
never heard before moving to Kent, and actually not until about
a year or so ago. Long story short, it's an Akron/Kent/Youngstown
word for the treelawn. You know, the strip of grass where the
fire hydrant is located.
As
far as the logo, the word was plenty long enough the have a green
box around it to emulate a strip of grass, and the "I"
was located far enough to the right to be just about in the right
spot where you normally find a fire hydrant.
